Hey Kids!

Click on me to learn about 9-1-1 !!

Smith County 9-1-1 Communications District is dedicated to raising awareness about 9-1-1 and public safety through programs for children, seniors, and other groups.

We have a program in place for children called “Red E. Fox and the Great 9-1-1 Adventure”.  This program is used across the nation and has proven to be a very effective tool.

We also participate in speaking at civic functions, senior citizen groups, safety fairs etc.  If you would like to receive a presentation including information about how 9-1-1 began in Smith County, who pays for it, things to remember when calling 9-1-1 from a landline or wireless phone, and various public safety topics.

The District facilities are also available to public safety groups for meetings, training sessions, and tours.

For more information about the District's public education programs, please contact Yolanda Muhammad at 903-566-8911 or ymuhammad@smithcom911.com.
